About Our Kompany
Kaufman Konstruction was founded on January 1, 2000 by Mark Kaufman and Wonder Wyant for the primary purpose of constructing agricultural buildings in southeastern South Dakota.
Mark Kaufman has been a farmer all of his life and was a builder of large commercial buildings for over 20 years. He brings a multitude of skills to the company including planning and implementation.
Wonder Wyant, while newer to farming, also has many years of construction experience as well as the clerical skills required to keep things on track. Together, they've established a company that is rapidly becoming the leader in providing dairy buildings in South Dakota.
In the fall of 2000, Kaufman Konstruction began selling Pro·Tec® hoop buildings. The hoop shelters were an immediate hit with area farmers, being both economical and efficient.
Pro·Tec Hoop Systems® are built by Sioux Steel Company, Inc. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Now in their fourth generation of family management, Sioux Steel has been manufacturing farm products since 1918. Their company motto, "Your complete satisfaction is our best advertisement", fits right in with our company philosophy.
In 2002, Kaufman Konstruction was honored to receive a Distinguished Sales Award from the Shelter Systems Division of Sioux Steel, the parent company of Pro·Tec buildings. Mark has been instrumental in designing many customized buildings for his customers.
Since its start, Kaufman Konstruction has been put customer service first. In June of 2003, when two of our buildings were damaged by the rash of tornadoes that covered the Upper Midwest, Mark Kaufman was on site in less than 12 hours.
No matter what your building needs, conventional building or hoop shelter, Kaufman Konstruction can deliver. Whether you need a large, specially designed building or just want to pop up your own hoop building, you'll be treated as the important customer that you are.
About Our Site
We're farmers and builders. The website is a "spare time" hobby. You won't find a slick corporate site with flash movies and leaping dodads here. We hope you'll eventually be able to find a lot of useful information about building, owning and using hoop buildings.
Just like our farming operation, we're long on plans and short on time. We're building the site as fast as our time and knowledge allow. If you are having trouble with our site, please visit our help page or contact us.
